Focus

An American romantic dark comedy movie that dropped tons of focus on Will Smith and Margot Robbie, as the movie suggests. The catch about this movie is that it surely grabs the attention of the audience without letting out a glimpse where the movie starts to get boring. Amazingly designed emphasis on cars being used in the movie, surprises all car lovers with no legit boredom. However with the IMDB rating of 6.8 and 55% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film had received mixed reviews wherein people have named it the worst Will Smith movie barring Hancock. Further, Margot’s performance was well noted compared to the classy fox in “The Wolf of Wall Street”.

The story line projects to be very interesting as Nicky (Will Smith) is an expert con man who has an eBay thing going with stolen goods. Jess (Margot) would leave no stones turned in order to impress him and learn all tricks of the trade. They instantly fell in love however Nicky leaves Jess unannounced at the end of a deal. 3 years later, on an assignment Nicky meets Jess again but Jess is a lover to Micky’s target, Garriga, who is a major trader in the F1 community. Nicky’s plan goes for a toss and even gets shoot at as his interest builds onto Jess again. But it’s up to you to find out what happens in the end.

“I have not watched a movie in the theatre in over 2 years and I have to say that Focus did justice to my eyes!!” says Manithoi. Deena mentioned, “It’s definitely worth a watch, may be a second time as well. Very doubtfully interesting movie!”
